Kroll is excited to announce major enhancements to the Kroll StepStone Private Credit Benchmarks Platform. Introduced in September 2025, the Benchmarks offer the most comprehensive and timely dataset available for private credit markets to track performance metrics and trends.

Built in response to strong client demand, these updates deliver deeper visibility, faster analysis and more actionable insights. This release features a fully redesigned user interface with intuitive, interactive charts that allow you to dynamically explore data and compare multiple benchmarks and indicators side-by-side.

What's New:

  • Overview Dashboard – High-level comparison across benchmarks and indicators.
  • Extended History – 10+ years of data for full-cycle context which is easily exportable
  • New Filters – Allows you to dissect the structure of the market by looking at use of proceeds and sponsored vs. non-sponsored
  • New Risk Indicators (Outstanding Loans) – Monitor risk exposure across outstanding loans, including percentage priced below 90, percentage with interest coverage less than 1, and percentage with EBITDA less than 0.
  • Enhanced Analytics Tools
    • Market Structure – Cross-sectional analysis by sector, size, country, and more
    • Market Map – Comprehensive grid view of all benchmarks and available indicators

The Kroll StepStone Private Credit Benchmarks support the continued growth of private capital markets by allowing users to compare their strategies against a dynamic and accurate market barometer.

The Benchmarks deliver timely data enabling asset managers and investors to gain a more complete and accurate understanding of their investments. This empowers them to make informed allocation decisions, set loan terms and pricing and monitor portfolios.

Developed with the long-standing and data-driven private market expertise of both Kroll and StepStone Group, the Benchmarks were built using loan-level data and information from more than 15,000 deals which differs from other fund-level aggregates or modeled estimates. The Benchmarks are updated weekly with new primary market data, providing aggregated, filterable insights on an anonymized basis across regions, sectors, size and loan security, including extensive coverage of U.S. and European markets.
