Javier Zoido

Since joining Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in 2006, Javier has played a key role in expanding the firm’s valuation platform across Europe and Latin America. Javier began his career at Kroll in London and later opened and now leads the Madrid office, which has grown into one of the firm's leading hubs in the region. Prior to joining Kroll, Javier was Manager in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance practice in Madrid and previously worked in consulting and financial advisory roles in Spain.

Javier has completed more than 1,000 valuation engagements across Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa and Asia. His notable engagements include independent valuations in connection with public takeover bids involving Naturgy, Solarpack, OPD Energy, Applus+, Ercros, DIA and Cepsa, as well as fairness opinions and purchase price allocation assignments for leading multinational groups and large private equity and infrastructure.

Javier serves as Chair of the IVSC LATAM Committee and was previously part of the IVSC Europe Committee. He is also a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), specializing in business and intangible asset valuation.

He has published articles on valuation topics, such as IFRS 3, purchase price allocation, intangible asset valuation and the valuation implications of IFRS 16.

Javier holds a master’s degree in finance from AFI in Madrid and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Javier is passionate about developing valuation standards across emerging markets and mentoring the next generation of valuation professionals throughout Iberia and Latin America.
